macOS permissions

OpenCode Superapp requests sensitive macOS permissions only when a feature needs them. Denying an optional permission does not prevent ordinary project and chat workflows.

The OpenCode Computer Use helper needs:

  • Screen Recording to capture the selected target application;
  • Accessibility to inspect and interact with supported controls;
  • Event Synthesizing for approved input actions.

If access was denied:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Locate each required permission category.
  3. Enable the OpenCode Computer Use helper.
  4. Return to OpenCode Superapp and retry the Computer Use setup check.

Permission grants are signing-sensitive. Replacing a trusted release with an unsigned or differently signed local build can cause macOS to treat it as another application.

Dictation needs microphone access. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone, enable OpenCode Superapp, and retry recording.

Task-completion notifications need macOS notification authorization. You can change app preferences under Settings → Notifications and system delivery behavior under macOS notification settings.

You explicitly choose project folders and Save As destinations. The native workspace service restricts file operations to registered roots and guarded relative paths.
